The Community Center for Training and Development (CCTD) Brings Smiles to Gaza’s Children Amid War, Hunger, and Deprivation
Gaza Smiles Despite the Wounds – In the heart of the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City, 65 children gathered for a day filled with joy and laughter with CCTD and the Basmat Amal team, in cooperation with the Sindiana Charitable Society and with support from the ZAIMAH Foundation. A group of social and psychological specialists from the Basmat Amal team \u2013 CCTD \u2013 implemented a comprehensive recreational activity targeting 65 children, with the aim of reviving the spirit of childhood and bringing joy to their souls, amidst the hunger, deprivation, and destruction the Gaza Strip is experiencing as a result of the ongoing war.
The activity included:
Light physical exercises to prepare the children and encourage them to integrate with the team, Chants and chants that spread joy and hop, Group shouts with everyone’s participation, Special performances and recreational games using balls.
The children were also transferred to a larger space to practice physical activities more freely, and then to another site for drawing and artistic expression, where they drew pictures and painted their faces with a symbolic message toward a better future and a safe life.
The activity concluded with the provision of lunch to the children, a simple initiative that reflects the spirit of solidarity despite the scarcity of resources in the Gaza Strip.
Those in charge of the activity emphasized that these initiatives are part of the efforts of the center and the Basmat Amal team to support children psychologically and socially, and to provide safe spaces for expression and joy amid the harsh conditions facing the Strip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
