Bethlehem – The Community Center for Training and Development held a film entitled “If They Take” by Palestinian director Layali Kilani, produced by Shatas Cinema Women in the Battir Library Hall, where this activity was carried out through the “Yalla Nshoof Film” project, a cultural and community partnership project managed by Shatas Foundation in partnership with the Gaza University Graduates Association and the Sunflower Association for the Protection of Humanity and the Environment, with the support of the European Union and support from the Swiss and the Representative Office of the Republic of Poland in Palestine.
The film “If They Take” represents another form of Palestinian struggle, 14 minutes long, and was shown using projector technology: It represents Palestinian men and women and a struggle represented by Umm Ayman, the Palestinian activist who defied oppression and fear despite losing her husband and preserving her uncle’s will to preserve the house and land and not leave them no matter what happens.
